Abstract
1370911 Electric analogue simulating ASSOCIATED PORTLAND CEMENT MFRS Ltd 4 Aug 1972 [4 May 1971] 12951/71 Heading G4G An electric analogue circuit for simulating a fluid-flow system, such as a cement blending plant, comprises series-connected integrating circuits A, B representing successive tanks in the system. With appropriate initial conditions in registers 4 and 6, an input representing a parameter of the input material is fed into the first integrator and the output of the last integrator represents the value of the same parameter at the output of the system. A desired output can be applied to a register 8 and compared at 16 with the actual output and a variable ramp generator 14 is applied to the input under the control of a resetting line 20. The input is varied until the desired output is achieved and at this time the input is fed via gate 18 to an output register 12. This register 12 can be coupled to the system to provide automatic control.
