Abstract

1369164 Measuring machine SOC GENEVOISE D'INSTRUMENTS DE PHYSIQUE 12 Jan 1973 [25 Jan 1972] 1695/73 Heading G1H A measuring machine pick-up for measuring a part of a given configuration which has given details in a predetermined arrangement thereon, comprises a member which is displaceable along at least one measuring axis and includes a plurality of differently shaped sensors which can come into contact with the respective details without the other sensors engaging with the part. A sensor is directed by, for example, a perforated programmed tape, so as to be situated at the nominal position of a particular detail. If, however, said detail is not positioned correctly, movement of the sensor is effected until the sensor and detail positions coincide, the difference between the actual and nominal positions of the detail being recorded on tape for subsequent analysis. Various sensor configurations are described.
