Abstract

1369107 Compartmented hoppers INTERNATIONAL HARVESTER CO OF GREAT BRITAIN Ltd 8 Nov 1972 51559/72 Heading B8S [Also in Division A1] A hopper 1, for a combined seed and fertilizer drill, is divided into two chambers by a partition 6 comprising panel members 8, 9 rigidly but releasably connected to one another in juxtaposition. Fig. 2 shows one arrangement of the members 8, 9 giving a particular volume ratio of the two chambers. The members 8, 9 may be unbolted, removed from the hopper 1 and remounted to give a different ratio as shown in Fig. 3. In a further arrangement of the members 8, 9 a single large chamber is provided, Fig. 4 (not shown). In this embodiment rotation of the members 8, 9 is not required in altering the volume ratio of the two chambers, but other embodiments (not shown) require such rotation. The hopper 1 is divided into three sections by transverse walls (4), (5), Fig. 1 (not shown).
