1368982 Gas filter PHILIPS GLOEILAMPENFABRIEKEN NV 17 Sept 1971 [22 Sept 1970] 43397/71 Heading BIT A gas filter, e.g. for purifying kitchen air, comprises a layer of foamed material 1, e.g. polyurethane, having apertures, or recesses, Fig. 3 (not shown), which accommodate a sorbent 4, e.g. activated charcoal. If apertures are used they are closed by gas permeable layers 2, 3. If recesses are used the foamed material is gas permeable and only the top layer 2 is used. The layers 2, 3 may be foamed.
