Abstract

1368856 Expandable lap support INDUSTRIE AG ALLEGRO 18 Feb 1972 [18 Feb 1971] 7672/72 Heading D1T [Also in DivisionF2] In a yarn lap support, three or more equispaced lap support members 12 are each connected by parallel, pivotable levers 15, 16 to spindle 1 rotatably mounted on spindle 10. Members 12 are urged outwardly by spring 28 via conical member 26 slidable on spindle 1 and abutting ends 24 of members 12. Ends 24 slide in grooves 25 in member 26, and may each carry a transverse pin engaging in opposing grooves in the walls of grooves 25. Flange 31 limits the expansion of members 12. Conical, expansion-limiting members of different sizes, may be inserted within flange 31. Links 15, 16 may be replaced by leaf springs secured to the shaft and to members 12.
