Abstract

136,677. Blundell, H. Weld-. Jan, 9, 1919. Lamp and flash signals; road-traffic signals on vehicles.-The position of a motor road vehicle is indicated at night by an intermittent light from a lamp on the roof or upper part of the vehicle. A lamp B is enclosed in a fixed casing K and an outer rotating casing F. The casings have openings or slots G which register intermittingly. The casing F may be driven by a motor J driving a pinion I which engages teeth H on the casing. In another form, a single rotating casing is used, having a lateral opening so as to produce a rotating beam.
