136,377. Caterpillar Tractors, Ltd., (Holt Manufacturing Co.). Feb. 12, 1919. Endless-track vehicles. - A self-propelled or other endless-track vehicle is provided with a flexible connexion between the main frame and truck frames consisting of a cress-bear which supports the main frame by springs and carries a transverse shaft to the ends of which the truck frames are pivoted. In the trialer vehicle shown in Figs. 1 and 3, the cross-beam 17 of inverted channel section supports the main frame 11 by helical springs 21, through which pass bolts 20 adapted to prevent lateral movement. Movement of the cross-beam longitudinally of the vehicle is prevented by vertical guides 15, 16 resembling horn-blocks. A transverse stabilizer shaft 23 is carried by bearings 22 in the cross-frame, the truck frames 26. 27 are pivoted at its ends. The truck frame carries the idler wheels 31, 33 and supporting-rollers 38. The upper run of the track bears upon curved supports 40 secured to the cross-beam.
