Abstract

1361168 Electrical ignition systems FORENADE FABRIKSVERKEN 2 March 1973 [3 March 1972] 10250/73 Heading F3A An electrical ignition system for an explosive charge in a rocket, a rocket-assisted projectile or a gun-boosted rocket comprises a pressure sensitive member which responds to a predetermined gas pressure in the rocket motor to inactivate an ignition circuit for the explosive charge. The pressure sensitive member comprises a membrane arranged to short-circuit or break the ignition circuit. The ignition circuit also includes a piezo-electric element and the pressure sensitive member safeguards the element from inadvertent activation by shock waves generated in the event of a rapid build up of pressure in the rocket motor.
