Abstract

1361050 Yarn testing ZELLWEGER Ltd USTER FACTORIES FOR APPARATUS & MACHINES 4 Aug 1971 [4 Aug 1971] 36649/ 71 Heading D1F In a device for storing and positioning yarn samples for testing, Fig. 1, samples 11 are held in clamps 7, 6 on carriage 2. The first sample is carried by a conveyor from carriage space 8 through slot 13 to the testing machine. After testing, the sample is severed by knife 14, and the carriage is advanced one step, by a reciprocating claw engaging a rack on the carriage, to position the next yarn sample. The claw also moves the knife. Each yarn clamp comprises a cylinder 21 and a spring- biased cylinder 23.
