Abstract
1360691 Holographic spectroscopy BENDIX CORP 31 July 1972 [31 Aug 1971] 35709/72 Heading G2J A hologram which has been formed by laser light through a pin hole 19 on to a photo-sensitive surface 21 is reconstituted by a light-source 23 the spectral composition of which is to be determined. The focal point of the Fresnal zone plate constituted by the hologram depends on the frequency of the light 23 and can be found by sliding pin-hole 25 to the position of maximum response of detector 28. The refractive index of the medium in 27 can also be varied to perform the focusing function.
