1360658 Phenylethanolamines DR L ZAMBELETTI SpA 15 Oct 1971 [22 April 1971] 48152/71 Heading C2C Compounds of the general Formula (I) (K=H, OH, OMe; R<SP>1</SP>=H, OH, Ph; R<SP>2</SP>=H, Me; R<SP>3</SP>=(CH 2 ) 2 OH, Et, Pr, Bu, Bu<SP>1</SP>, furfuryl, tetrahydrofurfuryl) and their acid addition salts are prepared by reducing a compound of the Formula (II) (X = anion). The preparation of the starting materials and 3,5 - diacetoxydiazoacetophenone, # - chloro-3,5 - dihydroxyacetophenone and # - bromo - 4- phenylacetophenone is described. The compounds of Formula (I) and their salts possess vascular activity, and may be administered in the form of pharmaceutical preparations containing them in association with a carrier.
