Abstract

1360540 Adhesive writing surface NOVOTHERM AG 16 May 1972 [17 May 1971] 22913/72 Heading B2E A chalk-writing surface comprises a flexible carrier foil having a pressure-sensitive adhesive layer on one side allowing successive application onto and removal from a surface, and a rough surface coating to accept chalk writing on the other side. The foil may be polyethylene or polyvinyl chloride sheet and the adhesive may be that referred to in U.S.A. Patent Specification 3,130,113. A release layer may be applied to the adhesive. The rough layer may comprise polyethylene mixed with quartz, sand, metal alloy and/or metal oxide powders. The writing surface is applicable to any smooth surface.
