Abstract

1359343 Incontinence device N LEVY 7 Nov 1972 [15 Nov 1971] 52970/71 Heading A5R A female incontinence device, for anchoring in the vaginal tract and applying pressure to the clitoris, comprises an inflatable tubular bladder 1 up to 1" in diameter when inflated and having a tubular projection 6 of smaller diameter at its free end, connected to a pump 3 by a flexible tube 2 at least sufficiently long to allow the pump 3 to be located at the woman's waist during use. A bladder in a preferred embodiment is 2" long and 0.6" in diameter when inflated. The tubular projection 6 is located in the vagina and aids in securely and correctly locating the bladder against the clitoris. A non-return valve is provided in the neck of the pump 3 and a relief valve is provided to deflate the bladder. A loop 5 attaches the tube 2 to a belt 4 to be tied round the waist.
