Abstract

1358323 Pipe-making machine MONIER RESEARCH & DEVELOPMENT PTY Ltd 21 Dec 1971 [24 Dec 1970] 59400/71 Heading B5A A pipe-making machine comprises a mould 6, a rotatable dolly or trowel 9 that smooths the inner surface of a pipe 11, and rollers 20 for packing in the cement or ceramic moulding material 12. The dolly 9 is supported on a shaft 10 rotated by a motor 14, and the rollers 20 are carried by a shaft 17 rotated contrary to the dolly 9 by a motor 19. The dolly 9 and rollers 20 are progressively lifted from the mould 6 during moulding. The top of the dolly is swept by bars 21, and material is prevented from reaching their trailing edges by profiled closure plates 22. Material is fed to the rollers by feeding slippers 24 (see also Fig. 3, not reproduced). British Patent Specification 1,341,469 is referred to.
