Abstract
1358024 Pipe joints H SHIRE I R NEWMAN and R S ALLISON 14 Feb 1972 6699/72 Heading F2G [Also in Division E2] A connector sleeve 18 having a channelshaped flange 22 enclosing a sealing ring 20 is coupled by a clamp 38 to a pipe 12, the clamp being engaged around the pipe and having claws 38 which engage over the flange. The clamp may be located on the pipe by circumferential ribs or dimples formed on the pipe or by protuberances 58, Fig. 8, on a resilient support. The clamp may have a cam-like edge 55, Fig. 6, for co-operating with dimples 54 whereby rotation of the clamp effects adjustment thereof axially of the pipe 12.
