1356491 Automatic gramophones WARWICK ELECTRONICS Inc 12 April 1972 [27 May 1971] 16885/72 Heading G5R A record-changer has a base 25 with spacedapart mountings 90, 30 for a rotatable pick-up arm 20 and a record spindle 21, a set-down cam 92 associated with the pick-up arm 20, two mountings 38, 70 on the base 25 between the spaced-apart mountings 90, 30, one 38 being for a rotatable cycle-control gear 34 and the other being a vertically-extending pin 70, and three vertically-stacked levers 150, 160, 170 associated respectively with set-down, last-record shutoff and reject operations mounted on the pin 70 which extends through the levers, the vertical spacing of the levers being determined by their engagement one with another. The base 25 is of sheet metal with cut-outs for the mountings which, like the cycle-control gear 34 and the levers, are moulded from plastics material. A pin 84 eccentrically mounted on the gear 34 oscillates a rocker arm 71, which raises and lowers the pick-up arm 20 through a pin 95 and actuates a record-ejector blade in the spindle 21. The set-down lever 150 has one end coacting with a cam (187), Fig. 2 (not shown), on the cyclecontrol gear 34 and another end coacting with the set-down cam 92. The reject lever 170 has two pivot points, one at the pin 70 and the other at a second pin (251), movement about the first pin 70 actuating a velocity trip pawl 151 on the cycle-control gear 34 and movement about the second pin operating a switch 258 in a last-record shut-off cycle when the reject lever 170 is engaged by the last-record shut-off lever 160 following detection of no records remaining in the stack by an overarm 22.
