1356072 Antifouling paint compositions LENINGRADSKY FILIAL GOSUDARSTVENNOGO NAUCHNO ISSLEDOVATELSKOGO I PROEKTNOGO INSTITUTA LAKOKRASOCHNOI PROMYSHLENNOSTI 22 Sept 1972 43918/72 Heading C3R In an antifouling paint composition for protecting ships and hydraulic engineering structures and containing antifouling poisons, the film-forming material comprises the products of reaction of rosin with organic hydroxyacids. The rosin and hydroxy-acid are reacted by heating them together. In examples disproportionated rosin and natural rosin are reacted with salicylic, tartaric, malic and citric acids; the paints also contain the anilide of salicylic acid, cuprous oxide, zinc oxide, dibutyl phthalate, xylene, mercury oxide and bistributyl tin oxide.
