Abstract

1355879 Feeding webs MEMOREX CORP 17 Sept 1971 [21 Sept 1970 (2)] 43441/71 Heading B8R A leader tape 116, Fig. 6, is attached to hubs 100 which are locatable in hub openings 14 of a cassette by placing the hubs 100 which are spaced above the cassette bottom portion on supporting spindles 84, staking one end of the tape 116 to the hub using a pin 120, winding a portion of the tape on the hub, staking the trailing end of the cut tape to the other hub and engaging the staked tape by pivotal arms 126, Fig. 7, pivotable from a position 126<SP>1</SP> to a tape engaging position, raising the cassette bottom portion for locating the hubs 100 in the openings 14, removing the arms 126 and winding the hubs 100 to tension the tape into engagement with guide rollers 54,
