1355304 Pesticidal application of hydrazones AMERICAN CYANAMID CO 3 May 1972 [7 May 1971] 20675/72 Heading A5E [Also in Division C2] A pesticidal composition or process utilizes as active ingredient α,#-dioxo, α-[(3-chloro-otolyl) hydrazone] hydrocinnamonitrile or α,#- dioxo-, α-[(3,4-dichlorophenyl) hydrazone] hydrocinnamonitrile. These two compounds may be represented by the formula: wherein R is methyl and R 1 is hydrogen or R is hydrogen and R 1 is chloro. Particular applications specified are combating lepidoptera and mosquitoes.
