1354619 Fluoroethyl naphthoates MONTECATINI EDISON SpA 3 June 1971 [5 June 1970] 18732/71 Heading C2C The invention comprises compounds of the general formula wherein n is 0 or 1, the radical -CO.OCH 2 CH 2 F is in position 1 or 2 when n=0, and in position 1 or 3 when n=1. They may be prepared by esterifying the appropriate naphthoic acid or chloride or anhydride thereof with beta-fluoroethanol. The compounds, and compositions containing them, may be used against plant parasites, particularly acari and insects' eggs.
