Abstract

1353487 Drying of granules CHINOIN GYOGYSZER-ES VEGYESZETI TERMEKEK GYARA RT 19 April 1971 [31 March 1970] 25787/71 Heading F4G Moist granules, e.g. pharmaceutical products, are dried by a mechanical method, such as pressing or filtration, and by supplying microwave energy, preferably of 2 to 10 GHz, either simultaneously or in repeated alternation with the mechanical drying. Filtration may be assisted by vacuum, overpressure or centrifugal force. A wet chemical is dried by a filter layer and supplying microwaves from above to cause the liquid to drain more rapidly through the filter layer.
