1352897 Making profiled sections; seaming RAPENA PATENT-UND VERWALTUNGS AG 1 Dec 1971 [9 Dec 1970] 55832/71 Addition to 1301469 Headings B3E B3A and B3J [Also in Division E1] A method of forming a hollow rail as claimed in Specification 1,301,469 is characterized by forming the hollow rail from two profiles, one of the profiles being formed from a band having at least a surface formed of a material which differs from the material of the other bonds. In the embodiment shown, the profile 101 has a surface layer 135, e.g. plastic. In other embodiments the surface layer covers only the upper surface of the profile 100 or covers both profiles on their external surfaces; the two bands are formed from different materials, e.g. stainless steel and aluminium or metal and plastic; and the profile 100 is provided with a core of plastic.
