Abstract

1352086 Heart pacemaker AMERICAN OPTICAL CORP 9 Feb 1972 [9 Feb 1971] 5973/72 Heading A5R A heart pacemaker provides both atrial and ventricular stimulation, and inhibition of only the ventricular stimulation upon detection of a natural heart-beat. The circuit is as shown in Figs. 1, 3 of Specification 1307912 with the exception of the omission of line (82) and components (T6') and (55'), so that the circuit of Fig. 3 forms a relaxation oscillator providing free-running atrial stimulation at a frequency which can be greater than, equal to, or less than, the ventricular demand frequency.
