1351828 Electric timepieces SUWA SEIKOSHA K K 17 Dec 1971 [28 Dec 1970 15 June 1971] 58714/71 Heading G3T In an electric timepiece powered by a solar battery, the dial structure comprises a carrier member 3 having metal foil strips 44 on its underside and solar cells 1 on its upper surface, the cells being connected to the strips 44 and held in place by solder or conductive adhesive in through-holes 6. As shown, the cells are located in a carrier recess 5 and the strips 44 are formed by a printed circuit. The recess may, however, be omitted and if the member 3 is thick, the holes 6 may be through-plated.
