1350741 Animal foods PEDIGREE PETFOODS Ltd 7 March 1973 [16 March 1972] 12381/72 Heading A2B An animal food comprises a palatable food composition, for example canned food which may contain meat, semi-moist, dry, and frozen foods, bird seed, or fish food, together with a physiologically active additive, for example hormones, anthelmintics, chemotherapeutics, antibiotics, sedatives, stimulants, and particularly contraceptives, and an added foreign substance, for example bone grits, dyes, charcoal, spherical steel particles, and plastics or nylon beads, adapted to be readily apparent to one or more senses of the purchaser or consumer. Preferably the added foreign substance is such as to render the composition unacceptable to others than the intended recipient.
