Abstract

1349049 Sawtooth wave generators TESLA NARODNI PODNIK 18 Aug 1972 [10 Sept 1971] 38683/72 Heading H3P In a sawtooth generator of the type in which the input to bi-stable circuit 1 is supplied by an integrator 3 to effect switching thereof when the integrator output reaches a given value and in which the output of the bi-stable circuit controls the input of the integrator, operation in free running, synchronized free running and triggered modes is selected by a bias provided for a diode 2 at the input of the bi-stable circuit and derived from a potentiometer 23, 24. With a high negative bias the output from the differentiating capacitor S connected to the synchronizing pulse amplifier 5 is blocked and the circuit is free running and unsynchronized. With a much lower bias the bi-stable circuit is held in its quiescent state until a triggering pulse is received. At bias levels between these two the circuit is held quiescent, after completion of a cycle, for a time dependent upon a capacitor 23 or a capacitor 26.
