Abstract

1348523 Extruded pipe TECALEMIT SA 18 May 1971 15577/71 Heading B5A [Also in Division F2P A pipe comprises an inner layer 1 of polyolefin (e.g. high density polyethylene or P.T.F.E.) and an outer layer 2 of polyamide (e.g. polyamide 11), a push fit pipe coupling of the " drive in " type being inserted in each pipe end. The inner layer 1 gives chemical resistance and the outer layer provides protection from the environment and the pressure resistance required by the end fittings. The inner layer is first extruded and cooled and the outer layer extruded on to it. Adhesion of the layers may be by inclusion of an adhesive or by establishing a vacuum at the second extruder. A two component extruder may be used.
