1348423 Trimeso-nitriles DIAMOND SHAMROCK CORP 25 June 1971 29955/71 Heading C2C [Also in Division A5] The invention comprises compounds of the general formula in which R is an an alkyl, halogenated alkyl, alkoxy, nitro, cyano, amino or hydroxyl radical; X is a halogen atom; m, n and p are equal to 0 or are integers from 1 to 5 and m + n + p = 5. They may be prepared by reacting a compound of formula with a compound of formula The compounds may be used as the active ingredients in pesticidal compositions which may contain conventional diluents and carriers and surface active agents. In addition other pesticides, e.g. phenothiazine, pyrethrum, rotenone and DDT may also be present.
