1348361 Code conversions MOSKOVSKY LESOTEKHNICHESKY INSTITUT OF MYTISCHI-I 5 May 1971 13122/71 Heading G4H A code converter comprises a matrix in which the input lines, 1-63 in the embodiment illustrated, are connected by diodes to binaryweighted output lines 64-69. The input lines, only one of which is energized at a time, are also connected to the output lines by auxiliary lines and diodes. Adjacent binary-weighted output lines, e.g. 68, 69, are connected by back-to-back diodes, e.g. 70, 71, whose common terminal is connected to one line, e.g. 80, of a first set of the auxiliary lines 80-84. Adjacent lines of the first set, e.g. 80, 81, are connected by diodes 85, 86 to one line 93 of a second set of auxiliary lines 93-96. Similarly these lines are connected to a third set of lines 103-105, the third set to a fourth set 110, 111, and the fourth set to a single auxiliary line 114. This arrangement is stated to use less diodes than do known arrangements.
