Abstract

1347970 Synchronizing arrangements REDIFON Ltd 7 Feb 1972 [12 Nov 1970] 53923/70 Headings H2E and H2L [Also in Division G2] In an optical system (Division G2), electric signals are transmitted between stationary brushes 22 to electrical equipment 44-48 mounted on a rotatable barrel 15 by means of slip ring contacts 20 rotatably driven by motor 32 to the same angular orientation as the barrel 15 by a common angular position demand signal. An angle sensor 26 provides a measured signal at the amplifier 55 which is compared with the position demand signal introduced at 51, the servomotor 32 adjusting for zero error. A similar arrangement, motor 18, amplifier 54 and sensor 25 drives the barrel 15. Flexible leads 12 link the slip ring to the equipment 44-48 to allow for overshoot or lag. The brushes may be rendered rotatable and the slip rings fixed.
