Abstract

1346495 Electromedical apparatus INTERNATIONAL HEALTH SYSTEMS Inc 10 May 1971 [11 May 1970] 14059/71 Heading G1N In a health monitoring unit, various body parameters of an individual are monitored and recorded sequentially, the sequence being controlled manually from a panel 34, Fig.2, or automatically. The buttons of the panel may be sequentially randomly selectable or be operable only in a predetermined sequence, and various tests may be repeated by depressing the review button 74. Any combination of an oscilloscope 36, chart recorder 38 and tape recorder 30 is selectable to monitor and record the sequence of tests, and more than one person may be connected to the unit, at one time, connections being directed through switches 66, 68. An alarm 62 is provided to indicated failure of equipment or high voltage on sensor leads, the supply then being automatically cut-off. The faulty test equipment may be indicated by a flashing underneath the corresponding button. The unit includes a vision sensor 20, a pulmonary sensor 22 and pulmonary function monitor 52, the earphones 24 of an audiometer 26, an ECG analyzer 40, a phonocardiograph 44, a meter scale 46 which shows the heart or pulse rate, a galvanic skin response device 48, a blood pressure monitor 50, and a read-out 54 of an automatic height and weight recorder (not shown). A respiration monitoring device, a temperature monitoring device and a tonometer may also be included.
