Abstract

134,329. Stone, A., and Haef, F. Oct. 31. 1918. Powder distributors.-A receptacle 10 is divided by a partition 13 into compartments for, say, salt and pepper, and has a detachable screw cap 16, to which is secured a disk 21, the cap and disk being formed with spaced and alined perforations. The disk is flanged to hold rotatably upon it a disk 25 having thumb-pieces 27 projecting through recesses in the flange, whereby the disk 25 may be turned to a limited extent in order to bring perforations 26 in it into alinement with certain of the other perforations corresponding to the required compartment, for delivery of the contents therefrom by shaking. A strip 29 of compressible material bearing on the partition is held in a U-bar movable between flanges 19 at the sides of an opening in the cap 16, the bar being slidable on a pin 30 and being acted on by a leaf spring 31, so that passage of the condiments from one compartment to the other is prevented.
