Abstract
1342494 Portable containers; packages NORDISCHER MASCHINENBAU RUD BAADER 11 March 1971 6581/71 Headings B8D and B8C A deep-drawn sterilizable food container of aluminium foil having a thickness not exceeding 200 Á is provided with an internal thermoplastics coating and an integral bottom reinforcing bead 6 of double-walled configuration folded or rolled beneath the bottom wall 5 or against the side wall 3. In the embodiments of Fig. 2 and Fig. 3 (not shown), the bead is folded and rolled respectively against the side wall, whereas in the embodiments of Figs. 4 to 6 (not shown), the bead is beneath the bottom wall and permits stacking of containers when having tapered side walls. The upper end of the container is provided with a rolled or beaded flange 4 and closed by a lid 8 heat-sealed thereto. The lid flange 10 may be rolled or folded over with the container flange 4.
