1342229 Organopolysiloxane adhesive coating compositions BAYER AG 14 July 1972 [16 July 1971] 33095/72 Heading C3T An adhesive coating on a cellulosic material is obtained by dissolving (A) 100 p.b.w. of an α,# - dihydroxy - polydimethylsiloxane of viscosity 10<SP>5</SP>-5 Î 10<SP>7</SP> ep./20‹C., (B) 8-20 p.b.w. of an alkyl, alkenyl or phenyl triacetoxysilane, and (C) 0À9-1À1 p.b.w. of a heavy metal or dialkyl tin carboxylate in a 6:1 to 9:1 mixture by weight of an aromatic hydrocarbon and an aliphatic ketone, and mixing therewith immediately before application to the substrate, (D) 6-35 p.b.w. of an organic di- or polyisocyanate, dissolved in an aromatic hydrocarbon, the coated substrate then being heated to 80-120‹ C., and optionally thereafter being steam-treated. In examples, 100 p.b.w. of polydimethylsiloxane diol of 10<SP>7</SP> cp. at 20‹ C. is mixed with 790 p.b.w. toluene, 95 p.b.w. MEK, 14 p.b.w. vinyl triacetoxysilane and 1 p.b.w. dibutyltin dilaurate; to 100 p.b.w. of this solution are added 9 p.b.w. of a mixture of 62 p.b.w. toluene and 28 p.b.w. of toluene diisocyanate or the reaction product of 3 mols. thereof with 1 mol. of trimethylolpropane or of 3 mols. of hexamethylene diisocyanate with 1 mol. of water (N,N<SP>1</SP>,N<SP>11</SP>-tris-(6-isocyanatohexamethylene) biuret) and the mixture is applied to paper, cured at 120‹ C. and optionally steam treated.
