Abstract

1340857 Magnetic heads EMI Ltd 19 April 1971 [11 Feb 1970] 6669/70 Heading G5R A multiple track magnetic head unit is constructed by fixing substantially E-shaped magnetic, laminated, coil-bearing bodies 20 Fig. 6, in slots such as 3-7, Fig. 1, in a non- magnetic body 1, and then slicing the assembly along the line 12 (line AA in Fig. 6) and subsequently re-joining the severed parts to form flux circuits such as in Fig. 7. The laminµ are produced by photo-etching, as described with reference to Fig. 5 (not shown).
