1340421 Chlorofluoropyridine IMPERIAL CHEMICAL INDUSTRIES Ltd 30 Dec 1971 [14 Jan 1971] 1811/71 Heading C2C A process for the manufacture of 3,5-dichlorotrifluoropyridine comprises interacting penta-chloropyridine, or a perchlorofluoropyridine having a chlorine atom in the 3- and 5-positions and having fewer than 3 fluorine atoms, with sodium fluoride in a non-hydroxylic solvent and distilling off 3,5-dichlorotrifluoropyridine produced during the reaction.
