Activator concentrations are exemplified. Potassium magnesium fluoride operates in reverse fashion to potassium iodide (:Te), emits at 600 nm, and may be made by melting and drawing. The other materials are prepared by heating in a Pt crystal near the m.p. of the host material, and then ground.
