1340013 Polyester fibre containing decabromobiphenyl CELANESE CORP and FIBER INDUSTRIES Inc 19 April 1971 [2 Feb 1970 17 Sept 1970] 20909/71 Heading C3R [Also in Division D1] A polyester fibre having improved flame retardancy contains 0À1 to 15% by weight of the polyester of decabromobiphenyl. In the example, decabromodiphenyl is added to polyethylene terephthalate near the end of the polycondensation stage.
