Abstract
1339509 Filtration in hydraulic circuit ROBERT BOSCH GmbH 19 April 1971 [21 May 1970] 24903/71 Heading BID In a hydraulic circuit wherein pre-delivery pump 61, filter 63 and main pump 65 are arranged in series to deliver fluid from reservoir 69 to load 67, a fluid-operated valve 72 is moved by a rise in pressure loss across filter 63 so as to reduce the flow through the filter. In Fig. 3 valve 72 short circuits main pump 65, so flow through the filter stops. The output pressure of pre-delivery pump 61 is limited by a valve 68 controlled directly by said pressure. In Fig. 4 (not shown) the fluid-operated valve (97) operates a hydraulic motor (90) to reduce the variable delivery of the main pump (85) to a minimum. In Fig. 1 (not shown) pressurelimiting valve (29) has three positions, in the two open ones of which it delivers fluid to operate a by-pass valve (37) to a first position wherein the main pump (16) is connected to the load, a fluid-operated valve (22) operated by the pressure drop across the filter delivering fluid to move valve (37) to by-pass pump (16) if the filter clogs. In Fig. 2 (not shown) the main pump is of the variable delivery type whose output control is moved to the minimum setting and locked there by fluid from valve (22) if the filter clogs. When not held in their minimum positions the output controls of main pumps in Figs. (2, 4) are manually adjustable. The circuits described ensure that only filtered fluid ever reaches the main pump and load and that the filter is protected from damage by reducing the flow therethrough if the pressure loss across the filter rises.
