Abstract
1337762 Pesticidal phosphorus-containing thiazoline derivatives STAUFFER CHEMICAL CO 19 April 1971 [26 March 1970] 25230/71 Heading C2P Novel compounds of Formula I where X is oxygen or sulphur, R 1 and R 2 are C 1-5 alkyl, alkoxy or alkylthio or chloro, Ra is C 1-5 alkyl, benzyl, aryl, C 2-5 alkoxyalkyl, alkenyl, chloroalkenyl or alkynyl and Q is where R 4 and R 5 are hydrogen, C 1-5 alkyl, halogen or nitro, may be prepared by reacting a compound of Formula II or Formula III in the presence of an acid acceptor (which may be an excess of the imine) with a compound of formula (R 1 )(R 2 )P(X)-Cl. Compounds of Formula I in which X is sulphur and one or both of R 1 and R 2 is alkoxy may be converted to a compound of Formula I in which X is oxygen and one of R 1 and R 2 is alkylthio by refluxing with an alkyliodide. The compounds of Formula I have insecticidal and acaricidal properties and may be used as the active ingredients in conventional pesticidal compositions.
