Abstract
1336613 Moulding glass SWF-SPEZIALFABBIK FUER AUTOZUBEHOER GUSTAV RAU GmbH 7 May 1971 [16 May 1970] 13799/71 Heading C1M A cover glass for vehicle lamps having differently coloured sections, is made by forming at least one first section 10 of the glass by injection moulding and then by injection moulding of at least one further section 20 directly on to the first section 10 or sections to form at least one inseparable interconnection such as 13, 23 or 15, 25 between the sections. As shown Fig. 2, the connection may be of a tongue 13 and groove 23 of dovetail shape or alternatively of T-shape. As shown in Fig. 3, section 10 has a bent web 14 with apertures 15 which are filled during formation of section 20 which forms a double web 24, 26 interconnected by member 25 to give a double interlock. For more than two sections, a first section may have tongues or webs at each end which interconnect with two further sections in a single second operation or two separate sections may be connected by a further section in a second moulding operation. Adjacent moulding stations on a single moulding machine may be used.
