Abstract

1336202 Transformers TRANSFORMATOREN UNION AG 4 Aug 1971 [5 Aug 1970] 36664/71 Heading HIT In a winding arrangement for furnace transformers, the high voltage winding is constructed as a layered winding comprising a main winding OS and a control winding RW in which the open end layer of the control winding is disposed adjacent the input layer of the main winding whereby optimum conditions for transmitting voltage surges are obtained and stress on the control winding reduced. The main winding may be disposed between the control winding and the low voltage winding US as in Fig. 3 or the control winding may be disposed between the main and low voltage windings.
