Abstract

1335153 Tabletting halocyanuric acid PUREX CORP Ltd 12 April 1972 [2 Sept 1971] 16760/72 Heading A5E [Also in Division B5] In a method of tabletting powder consisting of water-soluble halocyanuric acid, which method includes passing a succession of tabletting cavities relatively past a fill station, filling the cavities with powder, passing the filled cavities to a compression station, compressing the powder into a tablet conforming to the cavity configuration and removing the tablet from the cavity, the tabletting cavities are passed through a cavity surface lubricating station in advance of the fill station while there maintaining across the path of the cavities an air suspension of a lubricating agent of a density to deposit a lubricating film on to the cavity surfaces. The tablets may be used to chlorinate or sanitize swimming pool water.
