Abstract
1334659 Substituted diphenyl ethers HOWARD HALL & CO 25 July 1972 [26 July 1971] 34809/72 Heading C2C The invention comprises a method of preparing an aminophenyl-nitrophenyl ether which comprises refluxing an alkali metal aminophenate with a halonitrobenzene in a liquid reaction medium comprising dimethylformamide. The product compound may be reduced by methods known per se to obtain a 4,4<SP>1</SP>- diaminodiphenyl ether.
