Abstract
1332720 N,N<SP>1</SP> - Disalicylidene - 1,2 - propane diamine; p-aminodiphenylamine dioctanoic amide TEXACO DEVELOPMENT CORP 8 Oct 1971 [27 Oct 1970] 46927/71 Heading C2C [Also in Divisions C3 and C5] N,N<SP>1</SP> - Disalicylidene - 1,2 - propanediamine is prepared by reacting salicylaldehyde with propylenediamine in benzene. p-Aminodiphenylamine dioctanoic amide is prepared by reacting p-aminodiphenylamine with octanoyl chloride in toluene, percolating the reaction product through silica gel, and stripping off volatile materials.
