Abstract

1332602 Windscreen washers and wipers E W G TURNER 17 May 1972 [22 Feb 1971] 5067/71 Heading A4F An assembly for mounting on a windscreen wiper arm comprises a tube 10, having one or more outlets 11 for discharging washing liquid on to the windscreen, and a wind deflector 13 for so deflecting the wind that it applies wiping pressure to a wiper blade carried by the arm, and means is provided for mounting the assembly on the arm. The deflector 13 comprises a metal plate folded to form a spring clip for gripping both the tube 10 and a wiper arm. In an alternative embodiment the wind deflector comprises spaced parallel vanes 21b Fig.3, (not shown) inclined to the longitudinal axis of the tube.
