Abstract

1332412 Lighting fittings SIEMENS AG 12 Nov 1971 [23 Nov 1970] 52784/71 Heading F4R One or more light projectors 1 for a television studio is remotely operated by an arrangement in which an electric generating means G produces control signals that are transmitted via control conductors 5, 6 or by wireless means to one or more drive motion generators which operate the projector to displace arid focus it. The projector 1 is connected through a stirrup 2 and telescopic suspension device 3 to a horizontal carriage 4. Control device 7 regulates driving unit 9 and chain drive 9a for lateral movement and driving unit 10 and a cable drum and pulley system 11 for vertical movement. Control device 8 is connected to an adjusting unit 12 for the turning, tilting, focusing, and movement of the shutters 13 of the projector 1, via flexible shafts 14, 15, 16 and associated gearing. The units 9, 10 and 12 may be electrically, Fig. 3 (not shown) or hydraulically driven. The wireless transmission of signals may employ modulated infra-red light and more than one movement of the remote-controlled fitting may be effected simultaneously.
