Abstract

1331824 Float-actuated switches ROBOT POMPEN NV 29 Nov 1971 [16 Dec 1970] 55296/71 Heading H1N A float type liquid level indicator supported by its electric cable 5 comprises an electric switch 7 mounted within a liquid tight casing 2, 3, which is filled and supported interiorly by a foamed material, such as polyurethane. The casing parts, 2, 3 are coupled by flanges 2a, 3a made liquid tight by an adhesive or vulcanizing agent. The foamed material is inserted through an aperture 10, preferably under pressure, and sealed by a plug 9. The cable 5 may also be sealed in position by an adhesive or vulcanizing agent. The switch 7 may be a mercury switch as shown.
