1331376 Herbicidal compositions FARBWERKE HOECHST AG 6 July 1971 [10 July 1970] 31618/71 Heading A5E A herbicidal composition comprises a mixture of an acetanilide of formula: in which X represents chlorine or bromine, R 1 represents an alkyl group having from 1 to 3 carbon atoms or an alkoxy-methyl group having from 1 to 4 carbon atoms in the alkyl group, R 2 represents a hydrogen atom or an alkyl group having 1 or 2 carbon atoms, and R 3 represents a hydrogen atom or an alkyl group having from 1 to 4 carbon atoms, and a phenyl urea of formula: in which R 4 represents a hydrogen atom or an alkyl or alkoxy group having 1 or 2 carbon atoms, R 5 represents a halogenoalkyl or halogenoalkoxy group having from 1 to 3 carbon atoms (the halogen being fluorine, chlorine or bromine), or a hydrogen atom, CH 3 , CF 3 or Cl, and R 6 represents a hydrogen atom or a methoxy, ethoxy, or vinyloxy group which may be substituted by fluorine or chlorine atoms.
