Abstract

1329835 Erasers XEROX CORP 21 Dec 1970 [29 Dec 1969] 60535/70 Heading B6P [Also in Division C5] An eraser for removing toner from translucent vellum xerographic copy paper comprises a central cylindrical core of a composition comprising a solid wax matrix in which abrasive particles of alumina, pumice, silica or glass fibre are uniformly dispersed in an amount 10-40% by weight, and a uniform coating of wax encasing all but one end of the central core. The core may have a diameter of “ inch. The abrasive is of maximum mesh size 300. Stearic acid, calcium stearate and, optionally, sulphur are also included in the core constituents, which are mixed molten and poured into a mould, the cylinder thereby formed being dipped in molten wax to form the casing.
